I thought it would be good to be able to organise your photos into folders and name the folders, eg, kids fotos, family fotos, bday party photos... in a way it would be easier to look at them, similar to how facebook and myspace have there photo allbums and you can name the folders you place it in, and have it all organised. Also able to choose if you want your albumed folders as private for only family/friends on your list to see or public for everyone to see.

It would be really cool if there was a list of blog titles on the left hand side under the blog calendar so that you could click on them and go straight to previous blogs instead of scrolling through all the pages looking for specific ones of interest.

hi i would like to see 2 features. i would love to see the chat feature come to minti. i think it would be great and you would be able to get to know the members better and easyer. some ppl dont use msn or yahoo.

also i would like an option to keep your blog entries private in case for instance in my case i have a very bad day with my bipolar and i need to blog about it i can write about it and not have to worry about ppl worrying about me when i need to get things out of my head.

a vote box to tick in the advice section that covers the idea of "I've been here, I've seen it, and I have absolutely no clue about this so I'm going to vote: thanks for making me think"...? PMSL (I'm kidding of course)

Seriously though, ideas for new gifts and compliments...

Compliments:

One for being funny and giving someone a laugh and cheering them up. Maybe call it 'sunshine smiles'?

One for being simply sweet and nice to someone (as opposed to caring and nurturing like Mother Teresa), maybe called something like 'Sugar sweet'

One for being bright and clever, or even famous (as opposed to wise and knowledgeable like wise owl) called maybe 'shining star"

A "Mother Teresa" and "Mary Poppins" type of compliment for the guys (seems kinda odd to send those to a guy. It's bad enough that I'm a super dad and a sugar daddy. lol

Gifts:

Birthday gifts. Lots of members have birthdays, some even have one every year! Ideas: A birthday cake, a bunch of flowers (different to the roses in the gifts of love section), a pinata, birthday candles, a photo album, a birthday card.

Congradulations gifts. Members often achieve something remarkable in life or on the site, gifts could be a good way to recognise that. Ideas: a ribbon, a trophy statue, a medal, a certificate of greatness, a bottle of champaign, a trophy cup.

Sympathy gifts. Sometimes bad things happen to good people after all. Ideas: flowers (different ones again), sympathy card, chocolates, candles, magic tissue box.

Helping Hand gifts. Name anyone that wouldn't want one of these ideas: a tradesperson, a cooked dinner, a babysitter, a housecleaner, a garden gnome.

Travelling gifts: we'd all like to be able to take off somewhere at sometime surely? Ideas: a car, motorcycle, private jet, cruise boat, motorhome.

 

I don't know if there is any real jealousy about the compliments that are being handed out, but to alleviate some of the tension felt by some members, maybe the compliments should be viewed by the member only so there isn't the need for competition?

Like I think it is ok to see in activity that someone has accepted a compliment, but have the tally shown only to the member. 

Another suggestion is to make is so the member can see who gave them the compliment (other than when first given) Maybe when they put the mouse over the picture, it gives a list of who gave that compliment?

Hello all, love the new features, but I would like the groups shortcut to be back on the orange tool bar at the top right of my screen.  I don't use watchlist that much and not sure what others do but used the groups button more than any other, except for maybe homepage.

Just a thought.

I believe that the administration voting rights are a privilege and should be used with respect to the site, Minti's Editorial Guidelines, Code of Honour and Terms of Service.

Unfortunately it seems that some people don't hold this in such high esteem.  They either use their rights to vote in a vindictive manner, or don't understand what actually constitutes a breach.

I feel that if we were made accountable for our choice of vote, that it would encourage people to take it more seriously.   I think that people should be required to provide a short explanation before their vote became valid, which would prove due consideration was involved in their decision.

If people are made to be accountable, they might vote with more integrity, or better yet, withold their vote if they can't give a reasonable explanation for it.

I believe that we should reserve the right to delete lounge postings that are made also.  Sometimes they can affect the page view (if the titles are too long). 

In some cases, they may be an assault on the senses in general...It makes sense to be able to delete anything on your own homepage.

I think that as a group administrator, you should be able to delete blogs that are posted by other people.  When you start a group, you do so to have a certain type of group dynamic going on, and some postings may not reflect that.

Some blogs may be inappropriate, or rude, or the person may simply have left the group or site under that username, and be unable to do so themselves.

I was just uploading pics and i thought that it would be great it we could put them into files or groups so we dont have to go through everyone to find 1 photo.
